Biografía

HIM es una banda musical procedente de Finlandia, creadores del género musical Love Metal y del popular símbolo Heartagram. Después de varios cambios en sus componentes, actualmente está formada por el vocalista Ville Hermanni Valo, el guitarrista Lily Lazer (también conocido como Linde), el bajista Migé Amour, el baterista Gas Lipstick y el teclista Emerson Burton. Su fama comenzó en Europa con el sencillo “Join Me In Death”, o abreviado “Join Me” (usado en la BSO de las películas 13th Floor y Resident Evil: Apocalypse), que fue número uno en las listas alemanas en el año 2000.

Esta banda es reconocida por un distintivo creado por Ville Valo, líder de la banda, que recibe el nombre de Heartagram, el cual es una combinación entre un corazón y un pentagrama invertido, que según Ville Valo representa la unión perfecta entre el mal y el bien.

Las siglas “HIM” significan His Infernal Majesty (en español, Su majestad infernal).

Estilo

HIM decide crear su propio estilo a causa de su inconformidad por la música existente, incorporando diversos estilos musicales tales como el rock alternativo,^[1] metal gótico^[2] y rock gótico.^{[3] [1] [4]} HIM se acredita un estilo musical de su invención, conocido como Love Metal, y que es también el título de su álbum lanzado en el 2003 su musica es inspirada por la pasion de valo por la musica rock influenciado por el primer disco que compro de Kiss, le llevó a inclinarse por el rock a muy temprana edad tambien con influencias de Iron Maiden .
